At this initial meeting, we visit your home or premises to assess at first hand what your requirements are. We may also propose some ideas of our own. We will also discuss timescales and budget.
At this meeting, we can also discuss the best choice of wood and finish for your project. We use modern materials and a variety of woods, including hard, soft and tropical woods. We can help you decide which wood will work best for your project, and how we can bring out the beauty of the wood. We will also discuss the finish for your product.
The next stage is to take your brief and turn it into a computer-aided design drawing. Then you can see in detail how the finished piece will look, and consider any changes you may want to make. We will also provide an estimate of cost. The cost will include the design, manufacture, materials, transport and installation.
This stage is all about giving life to the project. In our fully equipped workshop we will prepare all the different components of the project shape them and join them together using traditional long lasting techniques.
At this stage we will apply your chosen finish in our finishing rooms. The most common type of finishes are oils, lacquers, paints, French polishes and stains. They all come in differents variations depending on the project.
The final stage is installation when we come to your home or premises to install the finished work. This is done with care and at a time convenient to you. We can also advise on upkeep and maintenance if required.
Furniture and other projects manufactured by Ecosse Bespoke are designed to last a lifetime. However, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, we will return to rectify the problem as part of the service, and at no additional cost (providing that the product we made has been well looked after and used for the purpose it was originally planned for).
